It’s The Little Things

It’s the little things that mean so much. For example, hop on over to the FedEx.com Spanish site. Review the Flash presentation and tell me what’s wrong with it.

What, you need a hint? Here, take a look at the screencap:

The alt/title text isn't giving it away.

They’ve translated the text, but the screenshots are still of the English language version of the site. Why didn’t they go all the way and take a look at the Spanish version of the application, too? I assume there is one, of course, which might only be my foolishness. I would have insisted upon screenshots of the Spanish site. As you can well imagine, reader, I have had my share of particularly esoteric complaints with images in sites/applications I’ve worked on, from alignment of images that were off by a pixel or whose color was off by 01 to complaints about the apparel of people in the pictures (yes, indeed).

But that’s what makes the game so much fun: finding those little things no one else would.
